In this very special concert the Kronos Quartet celebrate Steve Reich’s 90th birthday. The programme features some of the trailblazing minimalist works Reich wrote for Kronos over the course of their forty-year relationship: Different Trains, Triple Quartet, and WTC 9/11. Full programme to be announced soon.
For over 50 years, San Francisco’s Grammy-winning Kronos Quartet and its nonprofit Kronos Performing Arts Association have reimagined the string quartet experience through thousands of concerts, more than 70 recordings, collaborations with performers across myriad genres, and more than 1,100 commissioned works from composers worldwide, including as part of the monumental Kronos Fifty for the Future, an online library of 50 compositions offered for free to musicians everywhere. Most recently, Kronos Quartet has been selected as the Doomsday Clock Artists in Residence for The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists.

Available to pre-order when booking your tickets, you can choose from a selection of house drinks on arrival, accompanied by a mezze board of bread, dips, olives, stuffed peppers, falafel, feta cheese and garden salad (all vegetarian). Just select which option – for one or two people – you would like, before checkout. Or if you’ve already booked, please email boxoffice@stgeorgesbristol.co.uk to add your food to your order.
Your pre-ordered food and drink will be available to collect from the Café Bar from 90 minutes before the event. It’s the perfect way to begin your event experience at St George’s!
