Da Hee Kim

Award-winning pianist Da-Hee Kim performs as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe. She studied in the US, settled in the UK, from where she’s grown a flourishing career performing, teaching and collaborating on numerous musical projects.

Her recording of the 24 Preludes for piano by Nick Scott-Burt will be released by Divine Arts Recording Groups in 2025.

Kim says: “This recital explores a wide stylistic spectrum, beginning with a selection of Nicholas Scott-Burt’s 24 Preludes (2019)—a contemporary reimagining of the prelude form inspired by J S Bach, Shostakovich, and 20th-century French composers. Liszt’s Three Concert Études follow: virtuosic showpieces, each evoking a distinct poetic mood, including Un Sospiro (A Sigh), one of Liszt’s most beloved works. Ravel’s Pavane pour une infante défunte offers a moment of delicate nostalgia before La Valse brings the program to a close—a dazzling and dramatic tribute to the Viennese waltz, simultaneously celebratory and haunting, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth.”
