The first concert to ever take place in our hall, back in 1975, was a Lunchtime Concert – and our Lunchtime programme has gone from strength to strength ever since! Escape your desk for our hall’s oasis of calm, and soak up the magic of beautiful live music on your lunchbreak. And why not join us after the concert for a delicious lunch in our Café Bar too?
Our lunchtime concerts happen regularly on Thursdays at 1pm through Autumn and Spring, and look out for other special lunchtime concerts on weekends and as part of special events such as festivals. You can browse and book tickets for all our current Luchtime Concerts below.
And in Spring 2022, we’re delighted to welcome BBC Radio 3 back to St George’s with their New Generation Artists Scheme, for many of our Lunchtime Concerts. Radio 3 will record each of their recitals live for later broadcast, which is a great way for us to bring the special atmosphere and famous acoustics of St George’s to audiences across the world.
We’re also pleased to offer free tickets for 8 – 25 year olds for all our lunchtime concerts. Some of these tickets are made available via the CAVATINA scheme. You can book a ‘Cavatina’ ticket via our website, or for Lunchtime Concerts where Cavatina tickets aren’t available, please contact our Box Office to reserve your free 8-25 ticket. Please remember to bring proof of your age when collecting your tickets from our Box Office. We hope you enjoy the concert!
