James Larter

Part of Just Announced Lunchtime Concerts

This event has passed.

Following his hugely popular performance at St George’s last autumn, percussionist and multi-instrumentalist James Larter returns with an exquisite programme of varied pieces for solo percussion interspersed with short readings of selected poems and short stories.

Albéniz Asturias
Larter Toros

Dyens Tango en Skaï

Larter has always been obsessed with rhythm, whether it’s a roaring Brazilian samba or the intricate palette of the contemporary classical repertoire. He is one of the most exciting young percussionists to emerge in a long time and has already performed with an eclectic array of artists from the London Philharmonic Orchestra (live on Radio 3) to Mercury-nominated Sampha.
