Saint-Saens Sonata for Bassoon and Piano Op 168
Debussy Violin Sonata (transcribed for bassoon and piano by Theo Plath)
Roger Hanschel Layers of perception for bassoon and piano (2021)
Roger Boutry Interférences I for bassoon and piano
Talented YCAT bassoonist Theo Plath’s programme has a distinctly French feel. Alongside early 20th century works by well-known composers Debussy and Saint-Saens, the latter’s sonata for bassoon and piano being one of the last pieces he wrote, Theo presents music by the lesser-known composers Hanschel and Boutry.
