This special concert marks the finale of the Christmas edition of our ground-breaking project Sing for Happiness. Join us and this season’s participants in the beautiful main hall here at St George’s Bristol for an experience you’ll never forget and discover the powerful impact of singing.
We’ve been working with friendly, experienced choir leaders from the Bristol choir community together with specialist researchers to learn incredible songs and find out how singing really affects our wellbeing. From BBC buzz to our viral video about the benefits of singing for our mental and physical health, the project has sparked widespread interest in and push for greater understanding about the importance of singing for all.
Now you can experience this live in the beautiful main hall at St George’s! This special concert will showcase the Sing for Happiness Choir and everything they have learned over the course of the project.

Sing for Happiness
We kicked off the Sing for Happiness project in 2024, and sang with over 1,500 of you! We made the news and went viral on social media. What’s more, initial results from the first round of research indicate that participants’ feelings of calmness, energy and mood were improved by singing together.
After two years of data collection measuring whether group singing can improve mood and wellbeing the fascinating results of this research will soon be ready to publish.
