Where ambition meets artistry in the shadows of the Tudor court. Enter the treacherous world of Thomas Cromwell, where whispered words topple kingdoms, where loyalty shifts like smoke, and where one man’s rise to power reshapes the fate of England.
This is more than a concert. It’s an immersive journey into the heart of Tudor intrigue, fusing Debbie Wiseman‘s haunting orchestral score with the raw drama of Hilary Mantel‘s masterwork. Watch as music becomes menace, as words become weapons, and as history unfolds before your eyes.
BAFTA-nominated actor Anton Lesser – Thomas More from the acclaimed BBC series – breathes life into Mantel’s prose, his voice echoing through palace corridors thick with conspiracy. Soprano Grace Davidson and the Locrian Ensemble of London conjure the dangerous beauty of a court where every note could be your last.
From Cromwell’s meteoric ascent through Henry VIII’s favour to his devastating fall, experience the story through three powerful lenses: Wiseman’s award-winning score, pulsing with “tense undercurrents that characterise the plotting and intrigues of the Tudor court” (Classic FM); Lesser’s commanding performance of Mantel’s words; and striking imagery that transports you 500 years into England’s most perilous era.
Power. Intrigue. Performance. This is Wolf Hall as you’ve never experienced it.
