Braimah Kanneh-Mason and Jâms Coleman return to St George’s with a specially curated programme entitled Time Held, Time Passing. In their own words: “There are moments in music where time seems to behave differently, where it presses forward, where it loosens its grip, or where it feels as though it has briefly stopped altogether.

This programme brings together pieces that each treat that sense of time in their own way.” Their duo collaboration, informed by an exquisite, intuitive, emotionally powerful musicianship, has been deepening and growing for a number of years. “Moving between these works across an evening means constant adjustment, in how we pace things, how we listen, how we let something unfold. We hope it offers the listener a way of hearing time slightly differently, even within the space of a single evening.”
‘Braimah Kanneh-Mason’s musicianship was never less than superb, [and] what was equally impressive was the humility of his playing.” The Arts Desk
