TS Eliot’s The Waste Land was written in the wake of the catastrophic upheavals of the First World War and the Spanish Flu.  100 years on, I Fagiolini’s new programme is inspired by Eliot’s ground breaking poem – turmoil and disorder gradually replaced by renewal; it’s also inspired by David Attenborough’s witness statement to re-wild the world. This is an abundant mix of music and poetry, placing old masterpieces beside extraordinary new work written in the last year.

It’s another stunning evening of singing from I Fagiolini, who will be joined by actress Ellise Chappell – best known for her role as Morwenna Chynoweth in Poldark – reading poetry and excerpts of text.
