The virtuosic double bass and oud of Eastern Strings meet one the UK’s leading accordionists, featuring improvisational flights, and a fitting mixture of the fiery and lyrical.
Double bassist Daphna Sadeh-Neu and oud player Knud Stüwe are known for their unique sound blending Middle Eastern and Ladino traditions with Jazz and classical influences. For this special performance Mirek Salmon will select Tangos and Milongas from his extensive repertoire as an accordion and bandoneon soloist.The programme will also include compositions by Knud and Daphna from their album Climbing the Summit featured on BBC3.
