Bach’s St John Passion is not simply a story to be sung, but an event to be experienced. This interpretation will emphasise the direct emotional address of the music and its message, using an English text and dynamic staging to convey the intensity and theatricality of the Passion.
Rather than just observe, you are invited to live the music with us. There will be an interval.

St George’s CEO Samir Savant chats to Jonathan James, musical director for tonight’s concert, about his unique approach to Bach’s iconic work. Available to ticket holders of the concert.
