Shreya Devnath violin
Praveen Sparsh mridangam

Experience a magical journey through Indian classical and folk cultures with virtuoso Indian musicians Shreya Devnath and Praveen Sparsh. They play traditional Indian songs – songs of freedom, love, joy and self-belief – exploring the musical and lyrical diversity of India in a seamless blend of composed and improvised music. This is primarily an instrumental concert with pieces interpreted through the violin, percussion and spoken word.

Shreya Devnath, a vocalist and well-established solo violinist, has earned much appreciation for her distinctive music. A student of the legendary Carnatic musician, Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman, Shreya strives to be a worthy representative of this prestigious school. She is the recipient of a number of accolades, including the highly acclaimed Bharat Ratna Dr. MS Subbulakshmi Fellowship and Outstanding Woman Achiever. Praveen Sparsh, multi percussionist and music producer, is one of the most sought after mridangam exponents in the field of Carnatic music. Praveen regularly performs with acclaimed Carnatic musicians. His recent solo percussion album, UNRESERVED, received widespread critical acclaim.
